A vatted malt: 14yo Clynelish; Laphroaig and Ledaig. Peaty floral perfume on the nose. Spices, ginger creamy smoke on the palate. Waxy mouthfeel. Dry finish.

Compass Box - Flaming Heart, 48.9% abv

Fascinating - The first aromas left me the impression of entering a marshland with a small smouldering fire off in the distance. Then some ginger notes came forward on a light peat background. For 48.9% abv this dram is smooth. It finishes off on a tangy peat note. Some may prefer to add a drop or two of water.
