Dry grassy nail polish with fruit undertones on the nose. Gentle yet full bodied mouthfeel. Dry air flowing through a hay barn. Very pleasant.

A new distillery, first release in 2011, single cask 3 year old. Burnt toast, demerara sugar, quinine. An amazing dram for a 3 year old that augurs well for a new distillery

This is a new 3 yo from the Isle of Lewis. As a 3 year old, it has some rough edges but shows considerable promise. Offered by the distillery at £150 for a half litre but the miniatures are available at £6.50 for 5cl, a better bargain and well worth the price to experience what promises to be an excellent dram./

A whisky with great promise. Hay and wild grasses and a feeling of "green" are the first impressions on the nose which are then followed with a wee bit of spice - perhaps cardamom. It was quite peppery on the palate with a host of different notes - bananas, spices, whiff of nail polish and more grass. The finish was dry, peppery and most pleasant. NOTE: the price is 150 GBP for the inaugural collector's release. You can buy minis for 6.5 GBPs.
