Fascadale 10 Years Old

Smoke with hint of orange marmalade followed by fragrant apples on the nose; fruit with smoke and tang on the palate; smoke, spices and varnish on a medium long finish.

Teacher's Highland Cream

Teacher's Highland Cream, 40% abv

Starts with a light floral nose - very pleasant; then moves into rough and tangy territory - hard to get to the fruit which seems to be hiding behind the rough exterior (where is the delightful Ardmore?); tangy throughout. Maybe I was in a bad mood, although I don't think so. This has moved in my opinion from a pleasant dram to a barely okay andĀ almost "desperation" dram.

Glenkinchie 12 Years Old

Glenkinchie 12 Years Old, 43% abv

Rich hay with spices, sweet sherry solvent moving to oranges and citrus on nose; tart dry grasses on palate; short to medium finish.

Glengoyne 12 Years Old Cask Strength

Very smooth for a cask strength whisky - very smooth. Sweet demerara sugar and butterscotch on nose; sweet yet dry spices on palate; amazingly soft, smooth and long finish. A very good buy at $72.
