This Single Malt is distilled by Auchroisk in Speyside.
Tasting notes:
Prickly then berries, lemons, herbs, apples with trailing floral aromas on the nose. Zesty almost burning dry fruit mouthfeel. Tingling continues to dominate then lively old fruit on the palate. Too zesty with old flowers on a long prickly finish. (Needs water to calm it down. Score is higher with water.)
SMWS 95.86 Fit For A King 12 Years Old, 64.4% abv
Creamy, vanilla varnish then dry floral cardboard on the nose. Lovely light sweet rye mouthfeel. Sweet rye, lemons, spicy, warm, nutty and spicy on the palate. Warm nutty medium finish.
