This Single Malt is distilled by Deanston in Highlands.
Sweet hay, vanilla, floral, light spices and lemon candies on the nose. Smooth citrus mouthfeel. Mild caramel emerges followed by honey, lemons, oak notes and spices on the palate. Oak notes and honey on a medium finish.
Apples, mild spices, honey, floral, vanilla and pear candy floss on the nose. Fresh vanilla mouthfeel. Light luscious citrus notes, flowers, lemons, limes and spices on the palate. Soft yet zesty vanilla on a medium finish.

Warm apples, spices, dry honey, vanilla and oak aromas on the nose. Gentle, fresh mouthfeel. White fruit, honey, vanilla, light zesty fruity notes on the palate. Vanilla nail polish on a medium finish.

Caramel apples, vanilla, coconut, honey and pears on the nose. Sweet syrupy fruity mouthfeel. Fresh fruit, lemons, spices, honey and vanilla on the palate. Silky light honey and vanilla on a medium finish. V4$

No age statement. This whisky, previously aged for an indeterminate period in used oak casks, was finished in virgin oak casks. This explains its pronounced oak taste and the mild tannin taste (not unpleasant). Beneath these tastes was a rich taste of cane syrup which reminded me of my childhood experience of Roger's Golden Syrup on bread. This taste faded into a long peppery finish. Good value for the price.

Tasted and scored this three days ago at the Highlander Pub. Did not review previous notes or score. This are my notes and score three days later at the Ottawa Single Malt Fellowship tasting. Grassy with spices and light smoke on nose; hint of smoke and floral notes on palate; fresh medium dry finish.
