Tasted in the Guardian's Library at Glenlivet on April 30, 2011. Beautiful oranges, spices and raisins on the nose. Rich fruitcake on the palate. Well balanced. Soft rich finish. A WOW.
The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve 1824, 21 Years Old, 55.6% abv
Light caramel, pears, apples, cinnamon, mild sherry then amazing floral aromas on the nose. Thick fruity spicy mouthfeel. Luscious red fruit, cinnamon, cloves, pears, apricots, caramel, apples and ginger on the palate. Fulsome spicy fruit laden medium long finish.
