This Single Malt is distilled by Connemara in Ireland.
Tasting notes:
Wonderful sweet sherry and peat aromas, almost like eating sherry peat shortbreads. While clearly a robust dram, it is nevertheless gentle and very well balanced with sweet peat domintating throughout.
Connemara Cask Strength, 57.9% abv
Earthy pine and menthol, floral grassy peat on the nose. Dry soft grasses, light sweet smoke on the palate.

80Connemara Cask Strength, 57.9% abv
A bold in-your- face dram that grabs you by the lapels and shouts "I am here!" Notwithstanding its brash loquaciousness ,this a dram is well worth tasting. Its alcohol strength tends to overpower its more subtle qualities unless you add some water (more than I would usually want to add). Hidden by the alcohol are honey notes and bitter orange peel, almost like Grand Marnier without the sweetness. Peat taste is prominent but less so than many of the Islay malts
