This Grain Whisky is distilled by Greenore in Ireland.
Tasting notes:
Aromas of roasted chestnut varnish on the nose. There were hints of ginger and dry almond paste on the palate - not marzipan mind you, which is sweet. This is a light, well balanced and very pleasant dram.
Greenore 8 Years Old Single Grain, 40% abv
Flora, sweet with light hay aromas on the nose. Soft gentle vanilla and dry flowers on the palate. Wee tang on the finish. Impression of standing in a farmer's field.

It came as a surprise that an 8 yo single grain could be so good. Light, sweet and fruity.
