Fresh with almond notes on the nose. Grasses and cereal notes on the palate. A light, simple and easy drinking dram.

Mildly pleasant aromas that slowly shifts into floor polish undertones. Tangy and salty on the tongue - a bit like very fine sandpaper. Short finish. Solventy varnish notes prevail throughout.

Teacher's Highland Cream

Rush of pungent nail polish to start - a strong aromatic pressence for sure. Rough on palate at the outset then fades quickly to a light dry grassy varnish. Simply "rough and thin" with a short simple finish.

A very good whisky for its price.

Midleton Very Rare 2009 Bottling

Midleton Very Rare 2009 Bottling, 40% abv

Starts off with a light fresh meadow aroma and then moves to tropical fruit on the nose. Toasted candied almonds come forward on the palate. The finish is soft, sensuous and light with a hint of melons. Delightful.

Downslope

Downslope, 40% abv

A very interesting Colorado blended whiskey. Reminds me of Irish style whiskies. Very gentle aromas of vanilla with a hint of honey on the nose; light, fresh toast with marshmallow notes on the palate; soft, gentle light finish. For some the finish may be a bit too light; for others, depending on the moment, it would be just right.

Teacher's Highland Cream

Starts with a light floral nose - very pleasant; then moves into rough and tangy territory - hard to get to the fruit which seems to be hiding behind the rough exterior (where is the delightful Ardmore?); tangy throughout. Maybe I was in a bad mood, although I don't think so. This has moved in my opinion from a pleasant dram to a barely okay and almost "desperation" dram.
